Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about how we work, what things cost, and what to expect — across influencer marketing, UGC, and the GCC market.

01General
What does First Arab Ads do?+

First Arab Ads is a specialist influencer marketing and UGC agency based in Dubai. We run end-to-end influencer marketing campaigns and produce authentic, ad-ready UGC (user-generated content) — primarily across the GCC, with secondary reach into the Levant and North Africa, and growing engagements worldwide.

Where is First Arab Ads based, and where do you operate?+

We're headquartered in Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, UAE. Our primary markets are the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman, with secondary reach into the Levant and North Africa, and growing engagements in the UK, USA, and Canada.

How long has First Arab Ads been operating?+

First Arab Ads has worked with 100+ clients across the region and engaged 2,500+ influencers and content creators, with a recurring client rate above 65% — meaning most of our work comes from clients who come back for repeat campaigns rather than one-off projects.

What industries do you typically work with?+

We work across consumer categories that lean heavily on visual, social-first marketing — beauty, F&B, fashion, real estate, hospitality and tourism, fintech, consumer electronics, and government or semi-government brands running public awareness campaigns.

Do you work with startups, or only established brands?+

Both. We structure engagements differently depending on stage — startups often start with a smaller, focused campaign (a single platform, a single creator tier) to prove the model before scaling, while established brands typically run always-on programs across multiple creator tiers and platforms.

Do you only work with brands based in the GCC?+

No. A growing share of our work is with brands based outside the region — including in China, the UK, and North America — who want to enter or expand in the GCC and need a local team that understands the market, the platforms, and the cultural context.

What makes First Arab Ads different from other agencies in Dubai?+

Three things: we're based in the region full-time rather than managing campaigns remotely, we run integrated campaigns (influencer, UGC, and content production together rather than as separate vendors), and we work in Arabic, English, and Chinese natively rather than translating content after the fact.

How can I contact First Arab Ads?+

The fastest way is to book a strategy call directly through the calendar link on our Contact page — you can see our availability and pick a time without waiting on an email reply. You can also reach us by phone, WhatsApp, or email; all three are listed on the Contact page.

02Getting Started & Pricing
How do I get started working with First Arab Ads?+

Book a strategy call through the link on our Contact page. We'll ask about your goals, budget range, and target market, then follow up with a proposed approach — which service(s), which markets, and a rough timeline — before any contract is signed.

How much does influencer marketing cost in the UAE?+

It depends heavily on creator tier and campaign scope. Micro-influencers (10K–100K followers) typically run in the low thousands of AED per campaign; mid-tier and macro creators (100K+) can run significantly higher, and rates vary by platform and content type. We build a transparent budget breakdown before any campaign starts so there are no surprise costs mid-project.

Do you have a minimum campaign budget?+

We work with a range of budgets, but very small one-off campaigns (a single micro-influencer post, for example) aren't usually where we add the most value — our strength is in structured, multi-creator or multi-month programs. We'll tell you honestly during the strategy call if your budget is better suited to a lighter-touch approach.

How long does a typical campaign take from kickoff to launch?+

For influencer marketing and UGC campaigns, plan for roughly 2–4 weeks from brief to first content going live — that covers creator sourcing and vetting, contracting, briefing, content creation, and revisions. Ongoing monthly retainers run on a continuous cadence rather than a single launch date.

Do you require long-term contracts?+

No. We run both single-campaign engagements and ongoing retainers. That said, campaigns that run for at least a few months consistently outperform one-off bursts, since creator relationships and audience trust build over time — we'll always tell you which model fits your goal rather than pushing the longer contract by default.

What do you need from us to start a campaign?+

A clear goal (awareness, conversions, app installs, store visits), your target audience, budget range, and any brand guidelines or past creative you want us to stay consistent with. If you don't have all of this defined yet, that's normal — we help clarify it during the strategy call.

Can you work with our in-house marketing team rather than replacing them?+

Yes — this is one of our most common setups. Many clients keep strategy and brand decisions in-house and use us specifically for creator sourcing, UGC production, or content execution, plugging into their existing marketing calendar rather than running independently of it.

How do you measure whether a campaign was successful?+

It depends on the goal we agreed on upfront — reach and impressions for awareness campaigns, click-through and conversion rates for performance-driven work, or engagement rate and sentiment for brand-building campaigns. We report against the specific metric that mattered for that campaign, not a generic vanity-metrics dashboard.

03Influencer Marketing
How do you select influencers for a campaign?+

We vet creators on audience authenticity (real followers, not bots or bought engagement), niche relevance to your product, past brand-safety history, and engagement rate rather than raw follower count. For most campaigns we recommend a mix of tiers — a few larger names for reach, several mid-tier and micro-creators for genuine engagement and cost efficiency.

What's the difference between a micro-influencer and a macro-influencer?+

Micro-influencers generally have 10K–100K followers, with higher engagement rates and stronger niche trust — good for authentic, community-driven campaigns. Macro-influencers (500K+) offer bigger reach fast but usually lower engagement rates and higher cost per post. Most effective campaigns in the GCC use a blend of both rather than relying on one tier alone.

How do you avoid fake followers and bot engagement?+

We check audience quality using engagement-rate benchmarks against follower count, look for suspicious follower growth patterns, and review comment authenticity (real conversation vs. generic bot comments). Any creator that fails these checks is excluded regardless of their follower count.

Which platforms do you run influencer campaigns on?+

Instagram and TikTok are the core platforms across the GCC, with Snapchat playing a bigger role than many brands expect (especially in Saudi Arabia), and YouTube for longer-form content. We recommend the platform mix based on where your specific audience actually spends time, not a one-size-fits-all default.

Do you handle influencer contracts and usage rights?+

Yes. Every campaign includes a contract covering deliverables, timelines, disclosure requirements, and — critically — what you can and can't do with the content afterward (organic posting only, or paid whitelisting/boosting, which typically requires separate usage rights).

Can influencer content be used in paid ads afterward?+

Yes, but it needs to be negotiated upfront as part of the creator's contract — this is often called content licensing or whitelisting, and it's usually priced separately from the base creator fee. We flag this during planning so it's never a surprise cost after the campaign has already run.

How do you handle Ramadan and other seasonal campaigns?+

We plan seasonal campaigns at least 6–8 weeks ahead of key dates like Ramadan, Eid, and National Day, since creator calendars fill up and content needs a different tone (more family- and value-driven during the day, more celebratory around iftar and Eid) than standard always-on content.

What happens if an influencer doesn't deliver as agreed?+

Every contract includes clear deliverables and deadlines, and we manage the relationship actively rather than just briefing and waiting. If a creator underdelivers, we address it directly with them first, and contracts include remedies (reshoots, partial refund, or replacement content) so the client isn't left exposed.

04UGC
What is UGC, and how is it different from influencer marketing?+

UGC (user-generated content) is content created by real people that looks and feels authentic — often used in ads without the creator's own following being the point. Influencer marketing leverages a creator's existing audience and reach; UGC is about the content itself, which you then distribute through your own channels or paid ads. Many brands use both together.

Why does UGC convert better than traditional ads?+

UGC reads as a genuine recommendation rather than a brand message, which builds trust faster — especially with audiences that have grown skeptical of polished advertising. It also performs well specifically as ad creative because it blends into a social feed rather than interrupting it.

How much should I budget to pay UGC creators in the UAE?+

Rates vary by content type and usage rights, but a single UGC video (unboxing, testimonial, or demo) typically runs from a few hundred to a few thousand AED depending on production complexity and whether the brand wants ad-usage rights included.

Can UGC be used in paid social ads?+

Yes — that's one of its most common uses. UGC content is specifically well-suited to paid social because it doesn't look like a traditional ad, but the contract needs to explicitly grant paid-usage rights, which is usually priced differently than organic-only content.

How do you brief a UGC creator?+

A good UGC brief includes the key message, 2–3 specific talking points (not a rigid script), the tone you want (casual, excited, informative), any must-show product shots, and examples of content style you like. Over-scripting UGC usually makes it read as inauthentic, which defeats its purpose.

Is Arabic UGC just English content translated?+

No, and this is one of the most common mistakes brands make. Real Arabic UGC is scripted and delivered natively in the right dialect (Gulf Arabic reads very differently from Levantine or Modern Standard Arabic) from the start, rather than dubbed or subtitled after filming in English.

How many UGC videos do we need for a campaign?+

It depends on your ad testing needs — performance marketers typically want a batch of 8–15 variations (different hooks, creators, and formats) to test against each other, since UGC ad performance is highly dependent on the specific hook and creator, not just the product message.

05Markets & Legal
Which countries do you cover in the GCC?+

Our primary market is all of the GCC: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Oman. We also have secondary reach into the Levant and North Africa, and handle occasional campaigns in the UK, USA, and Canada for clients targeting diaspora or international audiences.

Do you work in Saudi Arabia specifically, or only the UAE?+

Yes, Saudi Arabia is one of our primary markets, alongside the UAE. Campaigns there often require different platform priorities (Snapchat plays a much bigger role than in the UAE) and different regulatory and cultural considerations, which we plan for from the start rather than reusing a UAE campaign as-is.

Are Qatar and Bahrain worth marketing in separately from the UAE?+

Yes — both have high purchasing power and comparatively lighter competition for influencer marketing and content attention than the UAE and Saudi Arabia, since most agencies concentrate their resources on the two largest markets. We treat Qatar and Bahrain as distinct markets rather than folding them into a generic 'rest of GCC' campaign.

Can international brands (outside the GCC) use your services?+

Yes — a meaningful part of our client base is international brands entering the GCC for the first time, including companies based in China, the UK, and North America who need a locally based team to navigate the market, language, and platform landscape.

Do you help with content localization, or just translation?+

We localize rather than translate — meaning content is rewritten by people who understand the target market's dialect, cultural context, and platform norms, rather than a direct word-for-word conversion from English or Chinese. Direct translation is one of the most common reasons international brands' content underperforms in the region.

What legal entity is First Arab Ads registered as?+

First Arab Ads operates under the legal entity First Arab Ads FZ LLC, registered in Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, UAE.

Do you provide contracts for every campaign?+

Yes. Every campaign — whether it's an influencer partnership, a UGC production run, or a retainer — is covered by a written agreement outlining deliverables, timelines, payment terms, and usage rights, so both sides know exactly what's expected before work begins.

06Content & Reporting
What kind of reporting do you provide after a campaign?+

You get a report tied to the goal we set at the start — reach, impressions, and engagement for awareness campaigns, or click-through and conversion data for performance campaigns — along with the raw content links so you can see exactly what was published, not just aggregated numbers.

Can you produce video content in-house, or only manage creators?+

Our content is creator-led by design. We don't run in-house studio shoots — everything we deliver is filmed by vetted creators as UGC or influencer content in real settings, then edited and formatted into ad-ready creative. That's deliberate: creator-shot content consistently outperforms polished studio ads in a social feed.

How involved will I be day-to-day once a campaign starts?+

As much or as little as you'd like. Most clients review and approve creative concepts and final content before it goes live, then step back from day-to-day execution (creator communication, scheduling, reporting) — we handle that operational layer so it doesn't sit on your team.

What if we're not happy with the content a creator produces?+

Revision rounds are built into every creator contract, so first-draft content that misses the brief gets reworked before anything goes live — you're never stuck publishing something you don't approve of.
